Our Secret Place (introduction) from Is It Today?
Dear Linda,
I found your old diaries this morning. I sat on the rectory bench where we used to meet, the weak autumn sun in my face, turning the faded pages of a life filled with love and tears. Do you remember the tennis courts where we played when we were young? They’re overgrown now, covered in moss, dying leaves, curling crisps of bronze and gold. Their nets are torn to shreds, like my heart. I closed your book and thought of all the good times we had.
     I miss you.

  Thank you for reading me
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength while loving someone deeply gives you courage"
- Lao Tzu

I found this beautiful quotation on a very special calendar. Now I shall attempt to write a love story. I only hope that I can capture some of the magic in Lao's words. Time will tell! Snowdrops...

I had a fantastic time at the Essex Authors Day held at Chelmsford Library yesterday. It was lovely to meet old friends and new authors, including exciting young writing talent. The three minute Writers Slam was a brilliant introduction to authors from all genres, fiction and non-fiction. Thank you  so much to Lizzie Chantree for your fascinating insight into social marketing - I'm definitely changing my approach after that!

Afterwards, I ventured into the busy Polish Deli opposite the Market, where I posted my first flyer for the launch of Is It Today? on Halloween (the original release date was October 31st) for 2 weeks. Imagine my delight when I saw it was still there! Needless to say I've renewed my subscription! A huge thanks to the ace Team in the Polish Deli - you're Simply the Best!
I write many of my short stories around personal experiences in my life, and striking images, cuttings from a magazine or photo images. I use Unsplash, Pixabay and Pixels for images, they're free, royalty - free, featuring their photos promotes new artist's work, and many of the images are amazing! Who  could possibly fail to be motivated to write about a lovely couple like these two!

Who are they?

Perhaps this is Adam and the Girl, embracing before they kiss in order to enter The Kissing Gate?

'It's a Kissing Gate!' she's saying, 'You have to kiss me to reach the Garden?'

Or, maybeit's  Linda, whispering cheekily to Dan in Our Secret Place: 'What would you like me to do?'

He really does love her. Did he just say, 'Kiss me' ?!

Whoever, wherever you are today, I hope you have a lovely day.

Send a little kiss to the world.
